Bottomline up front: We try to keep pricing simple to make kayaking accessible to as many people as we can. We will work with you.

What goes into the price and what drives the pricing decision?

  • There are a lot of factors, such as insurance, training and certification costs for instructors, equipment and maintenance, days worked prior to a trip to prepare for the experience, days worked after a trip to reset for the next experience, transportation, consumables like food and water, lodging if required, number of participants and more.

  • We strive to keep our prices fair and consistent with the broader outdoor industry and coaching profession.

  • Rest assured, we will do everything we can to give you the best experience possible for your money.

Other Pricing Notes and Discounts

  • When you request to join an experience or lesson we will send you an invoice by email from our third-party accounting program, Wave.

    You can pay via credit card or bank payment (ACH). You can also let us know if you would like to pay by another method, such as PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check.

    • We are not required to collect taxes for our services like tours, lessons or workshops.

    • We are required to collect taxes for equipment rental and merchandise. Florida’s sales tax rate is 7%.

    • We can rent most things you need to paddle and learn with us, including kayak, PFD, paddle, and other items, such as rescue, navigation, and camping.

    • Many people are able to travel with all of their kit, but not a kayak, so we separate rental into kayak-only and kit-only.

    • Equipment rental is included in the price for our multi-day expedition trips.

    • Thank you for your service. As a teacher and veteran myself (Ant here), I respect the sacrifices you and your family have made and continue to make.

    • We offer a 5% discount on our experiences, while also contributing some of our time to charities and programs that benefit military and first responders or support education. We may ask for proof of your service status.

    • We offer a 5% discount to FPTA members to support the growth of paddlesports in Florida.

    • Email us with your FPTA membership number before checkout to receive a code.

    • We will offer discounts on our multi-day overnight experiences for participants bringing their own kayak and equipment.

    • Otherwise, the cost of equipment rental/maintenance is included in the price on our overnight experiences.

    • We reserve the right to determine if your kayak and kit meet safety requirements and requirements of the expedition. We will ask you to rent from us if they do not.

    • There is a limit of one discount per experience. Sorry, no combinations.
